Ogun Records /Cadillac Records

Fondé en 1974 par le contrebassiste sud-africain Harry Miller, Ogun Records était destiné à produire sa musique et celle de ses compatriotes exilés afin de montrer leur influence sur la scène européenne et sud-africaine. Cadillac Jazz fut créé l’année précédente pour distribuer les artistes produit par le label Cadillac, et pour distribuer les artistes d’Ogun et d’autres labels indépendants. Ogun Records has been started in 1974 by Harry Miller, South African bassist. The label features his music and that of his fellow exiles from SA who influenced the scene with their special brand of music, and many of the major players of the music of these times. Cadillac Jazz Distribution was founded in 1973 to produce Cadillac label and and distribute it together with Ogun Records and others of the then proliferating number of, many Artist owned independent labels.
