“ En 1982, George Darko révolutionne le highlife ghanéen avec “Akoo Te Brofo” (CD Friends), son premier tube aux des arrangements très sophistiqués. En y injectant du funk, du rock et de l'électro, il lança ainsi un highlife fusion, un nouveau style que ses compatriotes appellent “Burgher Hilife”. L'album Moni Palava conserve la même recette, notamment dans le titre “Obi Abayewa” marqué par les synthés... ”
