“Originaire de Washington D.C, Sule Greg Wilson est multi-instrumentiste (percussions, kalimba, harpe, tablas et banjo). Sule Greg Wilson is “Edu-Tainer”, percussionist, author, teacher and storyteller. ”

Musicien aux goûts éclectiques (Taj Mahal, Les Ballets Africains, Billie Holiday, EWF, Hendrix), il a joué avec Abraham Laboriel et Babatunde Olatunji. Installé à New-York, il devient photographe, technicien lumière et musicien du International Afrikan American Ballet entre 1977 et 1982. Il joue ensuite avec les capoeiristes Jelon Viera et Loremil Machado puis s’envole pour le Ghana à l’occasion de l’Ashanti Confederation’s Jubilee Celebration. Il enregistre avec Joe Ayers l’album Minstrel Banjo Style, et produit son propre album The Drummer’s Path qui sera suivi de trois méthodes d’enseignement de diverses percussions.

Based in New York City, he received a Bachelors in TV Production and MA (History) and a Certificate in Archival Management, Historical Editing and Manuscript Conservation and worked for various institutions. Sule Greg Wilson performed with Babatunde Olatunji, the International African American Ballet, Boston’s Art of Black Dance and Music and capoeirists Jelon Viera and Loremil Machado. His work as an “edu-tainer” has taken him from Ghana to Hawaii, Mexico to Ireland, Mississippi to Minnesota and Seattle to Miami Beach. This artists has produced two CDs of his own music and published methods for percussions.
